The Belgian Cancer Registry (BCR) has conducted research on rare tumours in Flanders with financial support from Kom op tegen Kanker (Stand up to Cancer). The first part of the report provides an overview of the incidence, trends and survival of all rare tumours in Flanders. The second part discusses in more detail diagnostics, staging and treatment for 11 selected tumours. Technical information regarding tumour selection, time frames for treatment, and nomenclature codes for medical performance are provided in the appendices.
