Care trajectory for patients with bone sarcoma in Belgium: insights based on administrative health data

Bone sarcomas are a heterogeneous group of rare tumours. BCR evaluated the care trajectory of patients with bone sarcoma in Belgium between 2008 and 2022.

The publication consists of three documents. The main report highlights the epidemiology of bone sarcomas and maps the care trajectory and outcomes of these patients in Belgium. The appendix provides a more detailed description of the methodology used. The recommendations highlight important gaps in the availability of population-level data, thereby hindering a comprehensive evaluation of the quality of care for patients with bone sarcoma. Recommendations have been formulated to facilitate future research.
